Practice rink: 🧊🧊🧊

This is my favorite rink(the main rink)! This is the rink where I learned to love the sport by watching the St. Cloud State University Huskies play. Every weekend home game this is where we would spend our time while in college. We still go to games but we don't have time to go as often as we would like to. 

Main rink: This rink gets the best rink rating! No matter when you are there or what you are watching the temp is always prefect! I can be there watching the Huskies play a game, my son play a game or my daughter practice there and I'm always comfortable in just a sweatshirt! 

Practice rink: This rink is not my favorite. It's always cold-game or practice. The metal bleacher are horrible and not a lot of seating. The "glass" is very scratched up which making watching or taking pictures very difficult. My husband played in a adult league this summer for the first time and I spent a lot of time freezing my butt off. I found that it was a great idea to help the refs keep score and set the clock for them. There is a little heater in there and it works amazing!

    One of our absolute favorite rinks to go too!! My high schooler has played AAA tournaments here and it’s in her top 3 favorite rinks!

    That is where I played hockey at SCSU! Love that rink and the practice rink. Many memories and of course the locker room has improved quite a bit since I was there:)

I want to start this blog as a way for Minnesota youth hockey moms and all to know what the comfort level is in the rinks that we are sitting in as we watch our child/children play in comfort. My son is a first year Bantam and my daughter is in her last year at the 8U level. I have learned throughout the years that rink comfort levels are very different. Moose Sherritt Ice Arena - Monticello

 🧊🧊🧊 This is a rink that we have been to numerous times throughout my sons youth hockey time. They are in our district and this is another rink that sticks out to me and many others. Its not a super cold rink but the thing that sticks out the most to many of us about this rink is that they have a heat pay station. Bleacher Heaters "want to warm up?" 15 minutes for $1 - This is what the sign above the pay station says. As a hockey family we have more than paid our dues and shouldn't have to pay to sit comfortably to watch our children play.  so far, this is the only rink that I have seen this at. There is a heated viewing area on one corner of the rink and that is also where the concession stand is on the upper level. You do have to go up stairs to access the bleachers and concessions.
